Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College Students Visit Auschwitz

Four students studying AS level history at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College, North Shields, took part in a visit to Auschwitz.  The trip was part funded by Queen Alexandra College and the rest was paid for by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) who fund the 'Lessons from Auschwitz Project'.

Tyne Metropolitan College Responding to the Needs of Local Employers

Building on marked growth and quality improvement in apprenticeships, the Government has set the target of increasing apprenticeship numbers to 500,000 by 2020 and has promised an apprenticeship entitlement for every qualified young person who wants one.

TyneMet College has made strategic advances to proactively support this initiative by establishing strong relationships with employers and other specialist training providers with the aim of developing highly trained workers with qualifications in industry related fields.
