Additional Learning Support

Our students’ well-being is our number one priority. And no matter what their situation is, our Additional Learning Support (ALS) Team is here every step of the way. With personalised support packages, we can help students learn and grow, as well as develop their confidence, self-motivation, independence and life skills. If you need additional help or are caring for someone who needs:

  • Support inside and outside the classroom
  • Support with personal care needs
  • Special exam arrangements
  • Specialist software and equipment
  • Maths, English and ESOL (Improve your English) support

SUPPORT FOR UOS PARTNERSHIP STUDENTS

If you’re a University of Sunderland Partnership Student, you’ll have access to certain facilities and support on the TyneMet campus. This is to enhance your studies and ensure you get everything you need as efficiently as possible. You’ll have access to things like:
