Performing Engineering Operations Level 2

This course is designed to introduce you to engineering at a practical level to develop your skills and knowledge. It is a great starting point for anyone who still isn’t quite sure on their future career path.

 

During the Level 2 course, will have the option to experience other industrial areas such as wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits, gas welding and mechanical assembly.

MANDATORY 

  • Unit 201b  Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
  • Unit 202    Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
  • Unit 203    Using and communication technical information

OPTIONAL

  • Unit 219              Maintaining mechanical systems
  • Unit 230              Preparing and Using Manual Oxy/fuel Gas Welding Equipment
  • Unit 233              Wiring and Testing Electrical Equipment and Circuits

Depending on GCSE re-sit results, students will then have the possibility of progressing onto Level 2 Foundation Competency qualification, or onto the Level 3 BTEC Award, possibly Apprenticeship.
