Foundation Learning students develop key sport leadership skills

Seven students across our Foundation Learning department have developed key sport leadership skills through an AoC Sport Development funded project.

As part of the project, students were tasked with developing and submitting a presentation as a bid for money to support the delivery of a sporting event which promoted inclusivity within sports. Following their bid, our students successfully secured £248 to enable them to deliver their event.

The event took place on Thursday, June 17th  with over 40 foundation learning students and staff taking part. During the day, students enjoyed a huge range of activities with the aim to promote inclusivity in sports. Activities included fun relay races, boccia, dodgeball as well tennis. The day was rounded off with a presentation of certificates to those who took part in the leadership course as well as vouchers for students who excelled and showed great commitment to the activities. Well done to all students and staff involved!
