If you want to get paid and enter the world of work while you continue your education, an apprenticeship is the perfect route for you.

You'll work as an employee and gain 'on-the-job' experience, alongside experienced team members at your place of work. You will be supported throughout the programme and will be paid by your employer. At college or in the workplace, you’ll gain skills and knowledge that you can put into good use at work.

Each apprenticeship involves a tailored programme of training devised between the College and your employer, which leads to a recognised qualification. You will also study Functional Skills/GCSEs, such as Maths, English and ICT (Computing). These are essential skills if you haven’t got GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths to boost your skills for employment and enhance your CV.

TyneMet offers a wide choice of apprenticeship programmes, led by expert tutors and assessors to give you the best possible training while you also benefit from our outstanding partnerships and links with employers locally and nationally.
