Quality and compliance policies and procedures are important in the maintenance and improvement of quality within organisations.

The second element of your first year will involve taking part in an Employer set Project, which is designed by business leaders so you can gain real-life experience in working practices within the business context. This will include:

  • Conducting a PESTLE analysis to inform a change in the organisation
  • Project Plan
  • Introducing a new policy or training programme where communication methods are considered for each target audience
  • Creating an innovative business solution to present to stakeholders.

The third and final element of your first-year studies is your industry placement which will equal 20% of your qualification and will be in line with the pathway you have chosen for this professional T Level.

 Second year

In your second year, you will specialise in Business Support. This will allow you to focus on developing into an administrative role. This is designed to provide you with an insight into how businesses function and what support you should provide. You will discover a new set of business tools, problem solving skills and project management theories and models. You will develop your time management skills and how to prioritise workloads. This will include considering improvements that can be made and recommendations for improvements to business practices. You will also complete your on-the-job placement hours in this academic year.

This course is ideal for any students wanting a career in business support including a range of office-based job roles, secretarial, clerical and personal assistant roles within a variety of key industries in the North East.
