This course is designed for those who plan to increase their practical and theory knowledge of a range of electrical installation & maintenance processes within our industry leading practical training facilities whilst preparing themselves for entry into the electrical engineering industry or a related apprenticeship.
Units covered will include:
You will be working in excellent facilities, using industry-standard equipment safely and you’ll be taught by engineers with vast industry experience and close relationships with some of the region’s largest employers.
GCSE maths and English at Grade D (3) or above or a relevant Engineering qualification at Level 1.
You will also need to attend an interview with the course tutor.
Assessment will be via the City & Guilds online multiple-choice exam, short answer question papers and college based assignments which contain practical and knowledge tasks.
The Level 2 (2850-33) Diploma in Engineering – Electrical and Electronic Technology allows you to gain the skills you need to progress on to the Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) or an apprenticeship with Tyne Coast College, Tyne North Training or another apprenticeship training provider.
