The Level 3 Technical Certificate in Childcare and Education and then on to the Technical Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator). The Diploma enables learners to gain the knowledge and experience which will allow them to work with children from birth to 7 years.
Upon achievement of the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education it is intended that learners will be able to access higher education or enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.
UCAS confirm maximum allocation of 420 points at A* to the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (EYE). The full details of the points allocation to the Award / Level 3 Certificate / Diploma can be found in the UCAS points related document.
These qualifications are suitable for a range of learners either working or wishing to work in early years education and care. The Diploma is also suitable for those wishing to progress to higher education.
You should be at least 16 years old and have 5 GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above. You will also need to attend an informal interview with your course tutor.
Assessment is through internally marked assignments, observation in the workplace and a controlled assessment in year one and year two.
