TyneMet is ideally located between Newcastle city centre and the beautiful North Tyneside coastline. Our main campus is situated on the Coast Road, just minutes away from the city or the coast. Our dedicated Sixth Form College, Queen Alexandra, is located a few minutes down the road at Hawkeys Lane in North Shields.
Both are very close to the exciting attractions in Newcastle city centre or the relaxing surroundings of the coast at Tynemouth.
Newcastle has an array of shops, museums, bars and cafes for you to enjoy with family and friends; all just a short bus or Metro ride away from the College.
Tynemouth boasts a beautiful beach as well as boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Tynemouth hosts the annual UKPSA North East Surf Open in October and the Mouth of the Tyne Festival in July, both of which TyneMet College is proud to sponsor and support in partnership with North Tyneside Council.
