CACHE Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care // Level 3
This is the
course for you if you have skills in Health and Social Care and wish to further
these skills to pursue a career in the field.
There are a variety of subjects covered on this level 3 course. These include Physiological Disorders, Anatomy and Physiology, and Dementia Care, along with Research Methodology, which will enhance your academic skills.
This
qualification is mapped against National Occupational Standards for Health and
Social Care and acts as a robust and thorough introduction into the profession.
Entry
Requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above, including English Language and Maths; or a Distinction Grade at BTEC First Diploma; or equivalent along with C/4 or above in English Language and Maths. You will need a satisfactory DBS check and reference.
You will also need to attend an informal interview with the course tutor and provide two confidential
references.

This course is great preparation for moving straight into the sector or for specialising in a relevant area through a Higher Education course at university, or within TyneMet. Courses available in college are Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care, or HNC in Healthcare Practice.
