You want to develop advanced skills that will equip you for a career in the floristry industry by exploring creative ideas and producing detailed floral designs.
During this course you will become familiar with the flower industry and how to succeed as you further develop your skills and techniques by demonstrating advanced floral decoration and understanding marketing and promotion.
Practical sessions within our large creative learning space and retail outlet on campus, as well as trips to exhibitions and shows, will give you an advanced in-depth knowledge of floristry.
You will need a Level 2 in Floristry, or equivalent.
An interview with a course tutor and a satisfactory reference are required.
As a level 3 floristry student would will need to produce advanced and creative work, demonstrating an artistic and creative flair. Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach are also vital.
You will be assessed throughout the course by building up a portfolio of work and research-based assignments, as well as graded practical assessments in the classroom.
With this qualification, you’ll be well placed for further study or to enter employment in the floristry industry. Careers include: running your own floristry business, events and other artistic and creative industries.
