ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College’s Scholarship Programme is a prestigious academic scholarship competition to assist students who have exceptional academic or creative abilities to develop their talents to their full potential.
In partnership with local employers, the Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College’s Scholarship Programme empowers the students of North East England to achieve their dreams.
The Scholarship Programme attracts high school students who are looking to move onto A Level study and progress onto a university degree in their specialist area. These students demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and a genuine drive for success.
In light of recent announcements regarding EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance) and ever-increasing university fees, Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College has set up the Scholarship Programme to reduce financial barriers to education and actively promote the importance of industry partnerships to nurture and promote academic excellence to achieve diversity in education and careers.
HOW CAN MY ORGANISATION GET INVOLVED?
The College offers Scholarships across the following sector areas:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
- Creative Industries (Art, Graphic Design, Media etc.)
- Humanities (Literature, Languages etc.)
With your help as a business sponsor, the Scholarship Programme can provide financial assistance for gifted and talented students towards:
- Travel costs
- Study and living costs
- Essential equipment needed to complete their studies (e.g. books, laptop etc.)
- Extra or private classes and tuition
