College Health Award
The college has been praised for the work it does to promote health and well being among staff and students.
TyneMet has won the bronze award in the 'Better Health at Work awards which is organised by the NHS.
It's the first year the college has taken part in the project and the aim is to win the silver award next time round.
TyneMet's Health and Safety Advisor Kirsty Williams says: "The aim is to promote health and well being across the college community. To win the award we had to satisfy a long list of criteria, provide evidence and have an inspection."
