TyneMet College is leading the way in website development and their continued effort to provide customers with a quality digital experience. Recently awarded 9th position in a national website ranking benchmark by Sitemorse; a renowned digital insight specialist, the College praised their Digital Marketing Team who has worked tirelessly to ensure a website that is compatible with TyneMet’s vision and values.

The TyneMet website has been listed at Number 9 in the latest UK Universities and Higher Education Index out of 335 participants. The ‘Sitemorse INDEX’ is a powerful report that rates an organisation's online presence, comparing it to peers from the same sector.

Richard Airey, Digital Marketing Specialist at TyneMet College said: “I’m delighted that we have been rated so highly by Sitemorse; their report is very credible within our industry and provides us with a benchmark against which we can compare ourselves to other colleges and universities throughout the UK. In today’s world it’s essential that the education sector step up to exceed customers’ expectations and provide a quality user experience – online and offline.”

Geoff Paddock, Head of Communications at Sitemorse said: “We focus on functionality, its crucial to ensure that a website is working effectively. We see many websites with silly errors that have been made such as inconsistent and inaccurate use of page titles and descriptions – it’s this type of thing we pick up on and advise upon. TyneMet are doing a great job, having moved up three positions from last year it’s evident the College and their marketing team are focused on providing a great user experience.”

The Sitemorse INDEX is the longest established and independent authoritative website survey looking at the online capability of the main website available for each organisation in the sector. The quarterly INDEX Website Review looks at major public and private sectors as the independent benchmark identifying how websites are performing, meeting compliance levels and satisfying their users.

Tori Clayton, Head of Marketing & PR at TyneMet College said: “Its fundamental from a marketing perspective to take note of indexes like Sitemorse, they provide an excellent digital insight into our marketplace – we strive to provide the best experience possible for all of our stakeholders and we’re delighted to come in 9th place nationally  in the Sitemorse index, illustrating our efforts to continuously improve the user journey on our website – we will continue to push on with our online presence and deliver a great product and service for our customers.”
