Hundreds of students from TyneMet's feeder schools have been on campus for the latest Taster Day sessions - and they got a sneak preview of the brand new prospectus for 2011-12.

The prospectus was hot of the press and one of the first in the country to be published and available giving us a head start when it comes to attracting new students.

TyneMet's course offering is one of the first in the country to be published and it contains details of brand new courses for the next academic year. This gives the college a head start when it comes to attracting new students.

Schools Liaison Officer, Andy Cummings said: "The students from Marden, Norham and John Spence seemed really impressed by the prospectus and what they saw as they toured the campus. Many thanks to all members of staff who produced really good taster sessions."

Sports Lecturer, Jonny Reece invited a group of students to wear decorators overalls which they then drew on to indicate different bones of the body. Anatomy is one of the subjects covered on some of the Sports courses.

This is the latest in a series of Taster Days with the next planned for early February.
