A student at TyneMet has successfully secured employment as a certified personal trainer following a work placement at local fitness centre, Crazy4Fitness. The fitness studio has gone from strength to strrengh in recent years and is a very popular with the community offering a wide range of fitness classes for all ages.
Anna Waters, 19 from Wallsend has been a fitness fantastic since an early age, her passion for ice skating seen her become a professional, champion figure skater, competing across the country. Anna then embarked upon a Level 3 Fitness Course at Tyne Metropolitan College to start a dazzling career in the fitness industry. The course focuses on a wide range of comprehensive range of topics including Personal Training, Sports Massage, Spin Class and Kettlebell qualifications.
Crazy4Fitness founder, Christina Francotte has been working in the fitness industry for fifteen years and said: “ My mum was a fitness instructor and I began competing is dance competitions from a very early age, it’s always been part of my life. Crazy4Fitness has now been running for three years and the thing I love most is engaging with the community, we take pride in providing realistic results and ensuring people enjoy and adapt to a healthier lifestyle.”
Christina added : “The talent, determination and drive in Anna is something you don’t find every day, shes an excellent example of how hard work can pay off. We are delighted to welcome Anna to the team, I’ve been very impressed with TyneMet and Anna, its been a great experience for us because you gain new skills and I really value Annas input. You have to be very self motiviated and keep your skills bang up to speed to maintain competitiveness in this fierce industry, it also means your offering clients the very best fitness service at all times. We are very excited to be launching a new bootcamp class, Anna will be instructing, which will target abs!”
Whilst on placement at Crazy4Fitness, Anna was able to gain experience in a wide range of areas of fitness from adminstrativie side of business to delivering classes.
Anna said: “ The work placement I experienced as part of my course with TyneMet has been very beneficial to my career, I’ve learnt so much from Christina and the rest of the team. A placement means you get to learn on the job, every day is different and there’s always something new to learn. I chose to study with TyneMet because the course offered real industry experience and the chance to qualify with a employer recognised qualification. I’m really excited to be working at Crazy4Fitness and start instructing my own sessions, it’s a fantastic feeling when you see clients achieving their fitness results.”
