The College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teacher in Biology and Teacher in Chemistry to join the Queen Alexandra Sixth Form team due to the increased growth in student recruitment for science provision. The team currently includes a range of staff who facilitate teaching and learning excellence and support students across the College in a range of subject areas. The role involves teaching predominantly on Biology/Chemistry AS and A level programmes within the Queen Alexandra Sixth Form along with some Key Stage 4 delivery within a Partner school.
The successful applicant will hold a first degree qualification in a relevant subject as well as a teaching qualification and literacy and numeracy qualifications at level 2. An ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge in the subject area and an ability to employ a range of teaching and learning styles and strategies is essential. Previous experience of teaching and assessing within A level Biology/Chemistry and GCSE Science along with a track record of success in delivering high quality learning programmes is desirable. The ability to travel between sites would be an advantage but is not essential.

The College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teacher in Maths to join its Access to Higher Education team. The team currently includes a range of staff who facilitate teaching and learning excellence and support students in a range of subject areas. The role involves teaching predominantly on Higher Education Foundation Degree programmes at the Coast Road campus.
The successful applicant will hold a first degree in Mathematics as well as a teaching qualification and literacy and numeracy qualifications at level 2. An ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge in the subject area and an ability to employ a range of teaching and learning styles and strategies is essential. Previous experience of teaching and assessing within the FE sector and delivering HEFD courses along with a track record of success in delivering high quality learning programmes would be an advantage but is not essential.
