HNC in Fine Art

HNC in Fine Art

The course is located in the Creative Studios, which is in the college’s Queen Alexandra Campus.  It focuses on a broad range of fine art practice.  All students are taught how to draw, including lecturer demonstration in the Life Class.

As the course progresses there is an increasingly pluralistic philosophy, accommodating diversity of approaches – including figurative and abstract painting, as well as sculpture and site specific art projects.  Weekly Art History sessions are also delivered, encouraging students to evaluate their practice from an informed perspective.
