This course is essential for all personnel (of any level) who are to be involved in the safety reviews of process plant. This includes engineers (chemical/ civil/ electrical/ mechanical/piping/process/technical safety), technicians, project managers, health and safety professionals, supervisors, and plant operators.This is a  specialist partnership course from TyneMet and Hardy Avvarr.  Delegates will gain an effective understanding of the HAZOP technique, including preparation and follow-up. Being an effective HAZOP participant will equip delegates with a refined methodology to carry out a hazard and operability study (or HAZOP) critically and efficiently and bring this learning into organisations in which they work to add real value to real life safety via HAZOP studies.

This course will cover:

What is a HAZOP study
The benefits and limitations of the HAZOP, why and when to use it
How to be a good participant in a HAZOP, before, during and after
Who and what needs to be involved in the process
Issues to watch for in a HAZOP and how to address them
How to do a HAZOP study
HAZOP studies advances and sector variations
