Floristry // Level 2
You’re green fingered with a passion for all things bright and beautiful. You know the basics but would like to broaden your skills, knowledge and become more employable.
During the year, you’ll become familiar with art and design techniques used in floristry as well as learning to identify flowers and plants. Other areas of study include the creation of hand-tied bouquets, wedding designs, funeral designs and bespoke designs for various occasions.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D (3) or above, or equivalent. You may be able to progress from a Level 1 Floristry qualification.
You will also need to attend an informal interview with the course tutor.
Assessment
Assessment through coursework, graded assignments and online tests, as well as graded practical assessments in the classroom.Progression & Careers
You may be able to progress onto a Level 3 Floristry course at TyneMet College or into employment, working in the wholesale or retail floristry industry.
