Indian Head Massage Diploma

Entry Requirements

The qualification is suitable for those employed in beauty and/or hairdressing or those who wish to acquire this expertise. The qualification is particularly suitable for those with a mature attitude and a calming approach to clients. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, but candidates are recommended to have a level of general education comparable to GCSEs, or other qualifications at Levels 2 or 3.

Course Content

IHM is a massage applied to the head and neck areas. The methods are designed to promote relaxation, to relieve stress related muscle tension and to improve blood flow in the head and neck areas. Related Anatomy and Physiology Theory.

Suitability

There is a pre-requisite requirement of Units VR02 AND VR74 to this qualification, which you will automatically be enrolled on when joining the course. Students who already hold this certificate will be exempt from repeating this unit.

Further Information

The techniques are ones that have been used for a thousand years on the Indian sub-continent and the qualification has rationalised the methodology and provided it in an insurable format.

Progression To

Students can progress to Beauty Therapy / Hairdressing qualifications, Swedish Massage, Reflexology or Aromatherapy.
