There are no specific entry requirements but experience of food handling is an advantage.
Course Content
The course is delivered through the following series of units:
- What is Food Poisoning
- Bacteria
- Hygiene Control
- Personal Hygiene
- Pest Control
- Kitchen Design
- Temperature Control
- Cleaning & Disinfection
- Food Hygiene and the Law
- Multiple Test at the end of course (6 hours) 30 questions, pass mark 20/30
Interesting Facts
This qualification can also be delivered as an apprenticeship where the student attends on a day release basis from work.
