Performing Engineering Operations NVQ Level 2
Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs at grade D and above, preferably including Science or Maths, or Level 1 PEO or GNVQ Foundation.
Course Content
Students will study the following units:
- Working Safely in an Engineering Environment
- Working efficiently and effectively in engineering
- Using and Communicating Technical Information
- Producing sheet metal components and assemblies
- Producing components using hand fitting techniques
- Preparing and using lathes for turning operations
- Wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits

The course offers first-rate multi site workshop facilities and the opportunity for students to gain advice on future job opportunities with some of our partner employers. Gaining the PEO Level 2 gives students good access to the apprenticeship framework.
