Course Content
This programme provides a broad grounding in ICT. Students explore the subject in terms of information management, systems and applications. They also complete a number of structured, practical ICT tasks. Topics covered include: data, information, knowledge and processing; software and hardware components of an information system; characteristics of standard applications software and application areas; spreadsheets and databases and applications software. The legal, moral and social issues surrounding ICT are also explored and the practical element of the course sees students learning about design, software development, testing and documentation.
