Entry Requirements

Five GSCEs at grade C or above. AS Business Studies.

Course Content

Students who have achieved Business Studies at AS level can move on to complete the full A2 qualification. At A2 level, this programme considers strategies for larger businesses and how these may change according to circumstances. It explores the external factors that can influence businesses and how businesses can plan for and manage change by addressing areas such as leadership styles and business culture.
The programme allows students to discover how the people, finance, operations and
marketing of a business contribute to its success. The external factors that impact on a
business, including economic, political, legal, social and ethical influences, are also taught. Other topics include leadership, corporate culture and managing change.

Assessment

Two 2 hour 45 minute written exams.

Progression To

A2 Business Studies is a sound basis for a degree in business studies or many other areas of study.
