Apprenticeships

An Apprenticeship with TyneMet represents an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and qualifications within the college as well as in the workplace.

Apprenticeships are an effective and affordable way to provide training for staff and secure the future development of your organisation by ‘growing your own’.  An Apprenticeship not only provides expertise that’s specific to your industry, but the skills that are directly relevant to your business.

Our Apprentice training programmes have been designed by industry specialists who understand what you do and what your business needs so that the skills that are learned are all of immediate use and benefit to your business' bottom line.  Their training is ‘on the job’ so they directly learn and gain from the skills and experience of those around them, as well as the back up of expert College tuition from TyneMet's experienced Trainers and Assessors.

Our Apprenticeship programmes will provide your Apprentices with all the training they need, if there are under 19 years of age the training is free, whilst employees over the age of 19 are expected to meet part of the cost of their training.

Some of the benefits of our Apprenticeship programmes:

  • An opportunity to develop someone to your standards and expectations
  • A cost effective way of recruiting
  • Your employees develop industry specific working practices and skills
  • Your staff receive relevant job related qualifications
  • Ongoing support with training and development.
